I already hosted a couple hordes of both this spring and they haven't even commenced to kick it in high gear for summer yet...sulphur and deet - that's all I know will help but surely somebody knows something that works better? I already thought of just staying on the porch however that was poo pooed by others...

Go to Tractor Supply and buy the concentrated Permethrin. Dilute it to 10% and spray the outside of your pants and let it dry. It usually last through 3 or 4 washings before you have to re-apply to clothing again. Or buy the diluted spray (Sawyer's) at any Outdoor store.

RT I was after something to where they didn't dig plum to dermis where I had to claw at my calves and cods for the next week...I ordered a couple bottles of Sawyers Permethrin off Amazon at Dry Fire's advice so thank you all for the help!

Repel 40% will keep them off yer leg. Anti itch cream if you get em. Couple days they heal. Bifen IT on the yard - no more bugs. https://www.domyown.com/bifen-it-p-226.html

I normally know the chiggers are active when I weed eat for the first time. After that I just spray lower legs with bug repellent and normally no problems. I also wear my mud boots when weed eating.

It usually last through 3 or 4 washings before you have to re-apply to clothing again. Or buy the diluted spray (Sawyer's) at any Outdoor store. Take it to the bank. Permethrin is the key ingredient to look for. Here are two ready to use products:

My wife has convinced me to take a shot of apple cider vinegar every morning , supposed to cure all your ails. A side affect I am told is that the chiggers and other bitey critters won't like you anymore. I am shredding 2 places today so I will have to test the waters. I would be very excited to drink her concoction if it proves to be true!

'Got tick fever the first few weeks of owning this place. I had harvest mites living under my skin for two weeks years ago. I spray Repel now, religiously, and especially nuke my navel. 'Keep plenty of cans in stock. I'm sure it'll cause some kinda cancer.

I can tell you that taking Apple Cider Vinegar internally does NOT work. LOL Chiggers bad on my arms and neck is covered with what I believe is poison oak, can't be sure yet, but have had it often and it is too puffy and itchy for chiggers I think. We live and learn. Ok , so some of us learn the hard way.

When I worked out in the woods everyday I carried a sock full of sulfur in the toolbox. I would beat my pant legs and around my waist. It worked good. Technu for poison ivy, carry it on you and wash arms and neck area every couple of hours. Wash your clothes in the washer with it like it is soap and clean tools with it.
