It's not a big deal at all and I'm glad I got both doses of the Pfizer. 2nd dose was 2 weeks ago and I did have a headache and chills that night. Felt fine the next day except for a sore arm. I am a healthy person and wasn't overly concerned with the symptoms if I was to contract Covid, but the vaccine gives me piece of mind that I am highly unlikely to contract it and pass it on to those who may be more vulnerable. We'll all be wearing masks for the foreseeable future until enough people become vaccinated to establish herd immunity.

I read somewhere yesterday that now 'they're' saying it will require a yearly booster (2?) to maintain effectiveness going forward...

They gave the Pfizer one at work. Nobody I know that got it had anything other than a sore arm. Two doses of the Pfizer with zero side effects. If anything, I felt better afterwards than I had in days.

I read somewhere yesterday that now 'they're' saying it will require a yearly booster (2?) to maintain effectiveness going forward... That's potentially true. WSJ said it is possible that booster shots will be needed seasonally or annually to ensure protection until the virus is fully stamped out around the world. It's unknown right now, but all of the new strains could result in the need for boosters.

I had both shots last month. No side effects. I'll be traveling internationally later this year and there won't be a country in the world that let's you come in unvaccinated. I don't see it as any big deal. Also got my shingles and flu vaccines this year.

I had the J&J shot on Wednesday morning. Had a slight headache in the afternoon, not sure it was shot related. Thursday morning I had a headache, felt like a bad hangover. By the afternoon the headache was gone but I had body aches and was tired, took some motrin and was in bed by 8:30pm. I woke up this morning feeling great. My arm was a little sore but not bad at all. I don't know that there is a way to determine what effects you will have. Some folks report zero issue, some the first shot and not the second, some the second and not the first and some both. I didn't plan on getting one but the more people at the office that get it the faster we can take these masks off. I chose the J&J due to only needing one dose.

^^ You say you took the shot due to only needing one dose. Isn't there another company that also requires only one shot ?,I'm thinking there was one before J&J got approved.

For me the other company that only requires one shot would be Jose Cuervo...

They gave the Pfizer one at work. Nobody I know that got it had anything other than a sore arm. My wife and son both got sick after the 2nd shot of Pfizer. My wife it was 3 days later, she felt bad for a few days. My son got his second shot yesterday. and start feeling bad same day, today he has 102 temp. My daughter had second shot of Moderna yesterday, only a sore arm so far, but a big bump on her arm. I took first Moderna shot, not even a sore arm, have not had the second but I will take it.

J&J here, reason being it was a one time deal and made from natural virus. Minimal side effect: arm sore 3-4 days at injection site, "washed out" feeling next half day.

If you're under 50, I'd probably get the Moderna...Pfizer, at least of those that have had it, seems to kick those younger than 50 pretty hard after the second dose.
Get it in your non-dominant arm.

Forced jabs..................just wait until that employee that didn't want it dies. The family of the deceased will own that company. Its coming. Just wait until that person (the OP is in healthcare) transmits Covid to a person who already has a weakened immune system and dies. The chances of winning that lawsuit are greater than the employees descendants winning theirs.

Already prerequisites for flu shots and employers, thus why only Healthcare workers can pretty much be mandated. You are going to really be pressed to show why Covid vaccine is a legitimate requirement that is job related and consistent with business necessity.... thats not even including the exemptions for disabilities and religious beliefs.

I got the shot and the only side effect was that I grew a second reproductive organ. I'm thinking I'll get vaccinated a couple of more times and become a Mormon.

North Carolina sites halt Johnson & Johnson shots after adverse reactionshttps://www.yahoo.com/news/north-carolina-sites-halt-j-000205052.htmlNorth Carolina health officials said on Thursday that they stopped administering Johnson & Johnson doses at a mass vaccination site in Raleigh and at clinics in Hillsborough and Chapel Hill after at least 26 people experienced adverse reactions, including fainting. Four people were taken to hospitals for further examination, and state and federal health officials are reviewing the matter. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention noted that reactions like fainting are not uncommon after someone is vaccinated, though it is reviewing reports of adverse reactions in North Carolina and three other states. All those taken to hospitals are expected to recover, local health officials said. “Right now, we are working with NC DHHS (the state Department of Health and Human Services) and the CDC to further evaluate the situation to assure everyone is confident in the continued safety of our vaccine operations,” said a statement from Kim McDonald, medical director at Wake County Human Services.
