If I remember right, you had it 80 degrees in your house...perhaps that could be the culprit...

Well, inquiring minds want to know. confused2

Heat rises, We don't use or go upstairs, only turn heat/air con on maybe 2 times per year, either extreme heat or extreme cold.

Gust got my electric bill and it stayed under $300, it was around $40 more than the January bill so we did okay. It was way lower than I expected. We have a 3,000 sq.ft. all electric home with a fireplace insert which we ran hard during the cold spell and like normal, thankfully we are on SWEPCO and are on the Louisiana power grid.

Cut in half from last month which was already low, I have to see what's going on, maybe I sent them extra money right after the outages with the assumption it was going to be way high. I do silly stuff like that but don't remember doing it this time.

Mine was $41 for Feb. We use gas for heat and didn't get to use either for most of the three really cold days due to the blackout. gas was a little higher than usual.

152.00 last month and 248.00 this month. We used emergency heat for 6 full days, used an electric heater for a week and 2 heat lamps for 8 days. It was less than I anticipated. No water problems , so it was worth every cent and we stayed very warm.

About the same here. 3 days with no ;power but a full day warming everything back up. I'd have gladly paid to have power those days.

$69.29 for 2/11-3/11, we have gas appliances, we also had the a/c running for a few days during that period as well.

My next one should come down since we are in the same general area.

Got ours, 2600kw used. $265 billed. Last month 2000 kw used, $190 billed. I would have gladly paid for the privilege of having electricity available the whole time it was cold. But felt grateful the longest time it was out was 8 hours.
