Another option I was thinking was a trailer kept in a nearby area and brought out for hunting season, My issue is vandalism if I leave a place alone for 3/4th of a year. Some of my friends have have troubles.

Camper is going to be the easiest route. Then store it somewhere off premises in the off season. Completely self contained and you can easily sell it if you get tired of it/want to upgrade. Put a cellular camera on it when you aren't there to keep an eye on it.

Yeah. The idea of a "cabin" has a lot of appeal but the reality is...camper just makes a lot more sense.
