Hey guys my wife has a Remington 700 in 25-06 her dad left her when he passed. It has a synthetic stock on it that is pretty beat up and the barrel is scratched up . Can I or is it worth it to get a new stock and a new barrel on it? If so can pretty much any gunsmith do this?
Thanks

Stocks are super easy to replace. Just 2 screws and the entire action and barrel come out in a single piece. There are literally hundreds of replacement stocks available for the Rem 700. Just pick the one you like. As to the barrel, if the bore is still good and it shoots good, why replace it? You can have it cerakoted or even just paint it with rattle can paint to cover the scratches. But if you want to replace the barrel, that's a job best left to a gunsmith. And just like stocks, there are a bunch of replacement barrels available.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.
