I did a small OCW test this weekend for the Lehigh 110gr bullets with three powder charges 0.3gr apart centered at 28.0gr of CFE BLK in 1x Starline brass with a CCI41. No velocity data, but groups were 0.5" or less at 100yds for all three charge weights and POI was also consistent. Basically dumb luck but all three charge weights are in the accuracy node!!

I am continually impressed with how accurate this cartridge is with a variety of projectiles!

I've got my oldest grandson and one of his buddies at the ranch this week while they are on spring break and they are having a blast hunting and fishing. I put them each on a decent boar last night and they both dropped them DRT with well placed 150gr Hornady SSTs from around 80yds.. They have also been wearing out the dillows, skunks and coons.

Great memories being made for these young men! I’m happy for you. And good shooting, but I expect these kids had some good training. And those rifles look pretty nice too.

These have been around for a while, but the limit is 200.. $43.98 + Tax + $10.85 about 29¢ a bullet.. Pretty spendy for what they are.

I haven't seen any CFE BLK in 2 months, someone posed on the Reloading Discord directly from Hodgdon 2 weeks ago.
Stuff comes and goes so quickly now it's frustrating. I've had No. 41's in my cart twice this week on Brownell's but by the time I got to payment they were gone.

Ordered my Tactical Hunter almost 5 months ago so it should be here soon. Bought a Nomad 30 suppressor which is still locked up. Although I have another .223 AR, I expect this suppressor will live on my .300 Ham’r most of the time. So I guess I’ll just direct thread it and not buy the Key-Mo system. What would you guys do?
All my other rifles are bolt guns, and not threaded and I’m wondering if it’s worth threading any of them. (Cooper 7/08, Sako .270, Kimber .308,etc). I’m never used an AR for hunting, which is what I mainly do.
I guess my thought is if I want to hunt suppressed, other than some increased range, the Ham’r will do anything these others will, so why alter my barrels.

I wouldn't buy the KeyMo if you are going to mainly use the rifle for hunting. It adds too much weight and length. If you want to move the Nomad back and forth between your .223 AR and 300 HAM'R, you could use the Griffin Plan A adapter with a minimalist or ez brake. Otherwise direct threading is fine, as long as you make sure you keep it tight. Without the taper, like the Plan A and others have, they tend to loosen up.

I have a Nomad-30 w/Keymo and it works great on my 16" HAM'R. Although I really enjoy the ability to quickly swap the Nomad to other rifles with the Key-mo it's NOT something I would recommend unless you need that capability. It adds ~1.5" in length and several ounces in weight. With an 18" barrel you will definitely notice those extra ounces hanging off the end of it. Stick with either the direct thread or go with Dead Air's Xenomorph option. I recommend it over the Griffin Plan-A or Q Plan-B because the Xeno utilizes left hand threads to attach the suppressor to the mount.

As for getting any of your bolt guns threaded unless the end barrel diameter is ~0.725in or greater it would not be worth it.

I added two boxes of the Speer HP to a Midway order a few weeks back to try out. So far I have not had much luck getting them to shoot well. I did just snag another 500 from Powder Valley yesterday. Finding stuff in stock is truly a matter of luck and persistence these days. I've fortunately had success finding everything I need to load the HAM'R except primers. I am checking multiple websites several times throughout the day and evening though.

Now the 135gr FTX on the other hand are easily the easiest bullet to tune for the HAM'R and one if not the most accurate bullets for the caliber. Indeed they are a touch pricey, but well worth the expense IMO.

I like my Rugged Micro 30 K configuration. Not super quiet but short and light.

We have a fairly large shipment of 100ct boxes of Speer 130gr HHC bullets on the way to us, BUT we have quite a few backorders too, so if you need or want any I suggest you get an order in.

We also have a lot of them coming in bulk to load ammo, so we will begin filling ammo BOs for this load soon too.

I’m wanting to order a rifle, any rough guess about wait time?

I wonder what Mr. Wilson’s opinion is on the current administrations push on new laws and measures regarding firearms. And what impact it will have on his company and manufacturing in general. Perhaps he will comment but I understand if he prefers not too. Regardless, I wish him well in his business he developed. Hope he and his employees don’t get hurt. Obviously, WIlson Combat is booming right now. It’s refreshing to see high quality American made products.

Here's my take on the current political situation regarding gun control.

#1 I think we'll see bans on 80% receivers/Ghost guns and either an outright ban or some restrictions on pistol braces/AR pistols via executive order that may or may not hold up in court. How these will effect WC or all of us as subjects to this rogue regime I have no idea at this time.

#2 I don't think the Demwits have the necessary votes to pass any gun control through congress, but they will certainly try. A poll on Newsmax this am shows 72% support 2A and oppose more gun control.

We're balls to the wall expanding and increasing our production capacity with a $10mil+ expansion about 80% complete now. By June our production capacity will have doubled compared to what we were capable of in February. We now have over 220 dedicated employees and still have several job openings. The more product we ship the more new orders flow in.....

Everyone I talk to in the industry believe this level of panic buying will continue into Q1 of 2023 and will only substantially slow down if the Repubs gain control of congress or the senate in Nov 2022.

On the subject of alternate powders to CFE BLK, which of the Shooters World Powders seems to be working the best, Blackout or SOCOM? Or is there much of a difference in the two? I see all the WC load data has SOCOM listed, so I'm assuming that is the way to go?

This statement from your website is what has me wondering.

"WHAT POWDERS ARE SUITABLE FOR RELOADING THE 300 HAM’R?
For maximum velocity and best accuracy Hodgdon CFEBLK is recommended, but good performing loads can be produced with Accurate 1680, IMR 4227, Vihtavuori N120 or Shooters World BLACKOUT."

Why Blackout is listed here and SOCOM is in the load data is why I'm confused.

We only use SOCOM for 95-110gr loads, the burn rate is too fast for anything heavier. BLACKOUT is very similar to A1680 and you should be able to achieve similar velocity with it.

As I stated many times and our load data shows, for optimal velocity with 125-150gr bullets CFEBLK is the only way to go. I'm surprised that it's hard to get by the 1# or 8# since we have had no problem getting it 1000# at a time in 45# kegs from Hodgdon.
