I have been working with troubled kids for a long time. 20 years ago while kids were locked up they would have 3-5 fights a week between them. Now we have maybe 5 fights a year. Right now there are approximately 15 17-20 year kids in jail on murder charges here in McLennan County.
Most young adults can’t fight but will pick up a gun quick. I have worked with several guys that train MMA. Fighting drunk with a 75 pound disadvantage I would put my money on a MMA fighter every time. Of course you will run into that huge guy that can fight but not many.

They will walk. I grew up in Oklahoma. One of the few places where “he needed his donkey kicked” is a legitimate defense in a jury trial.

I knew 2 brothers in college that played for WVU. They were Serbian and grew up in Cleveland. 2 dudes you did not want to mess with. One played offensive line and the other defense. One went to the Rams and the other the Browns. Bar fights broke out quite often in WV small towns. We had no problems when those 2 were with us.

Yall did good. I bet them boys will think twice before starting a fight again. I went to OU and have been in your position before, handled it slightly differently but with the same outcome.

Vast majority of the ex’s are on a severe down grade physically and all their injuries they took and that their body over compensated for are popping up. With that said I’d still say most have a much high level of resiliency and mental fortitude over the average Joe including average jiu-jitsu/mma training joes, with that said I think any one that's been through military basic training has a similar degree Of resiliency/fortitude.
