I'm running 125 TNT'S in my 11.3". I'm fireforming Lake City brass so I'm running 27.2 gr. of CFE BLK and CCI 400 primers. Averaged 2494 FPS out of my 18" barrel. I can't mount my Magnetospeed on my 11.3" but I'm guessing it's around 2300~ FPS. I know I'll have to up the powder charge now that the brass is formed and you probably will too since your brass has a little more volume than my unfireformed Lake City brass. The Wilson load data shows up to 27.5 gr. Max for CFE BLK. I worked up to 27.2 gains by loading five rounds starting from 26.2 going up .2 grains each round. I ran all five over the Magnetospeed checking velocity and looking for pressure signs on each fired round.

God bless.

Hello, I was just wondering if you received these and how far through the back orders you may have gotten? I called yesterday, but whomever I spoke with just stated they were still out of stock. Thanks.

Out of curiosity when did you place the backorder for the dies? I've had some on order since the 3rd of Feb and I noticed @Wilson Combat stated they had some inbound on Feb 18th. I'm still waiting for my order to be fulfilled. They probably didn't get enough units from RCBS in that shipment. frown

301 sets of dies were delivered today, they should be back in-stock by the end of the week

Thanks for the update! I just noticed the charge for the backorder come across my cc. I've been seating bullets with the seater die from a set of Hornady 300BLK dies. It works, but not the best tool for the job!

You have a better link for the bullets? That link goes to the 100 count box that is sold out. I'm not finding the 500 count on that site's search. Man I like that bullet

Sorry the link was for 100ct boxes. 5 were available.. Speer Bullets seem to be extremely rare to come across lately. I've been using Ammoseek bookmarks for every manufacturer and weight ranges 90-150gr and checking often.. As far as powder and primers I've been on the Reloading Discord for a few months now and have been able to get 4k primers and 11lb of powders. The tax, shipping, and limits are making it 9¢ primers and 12¢ powder charges.

If anyone doesn't have access to a range and is looking for brass to convert I've been regularly finding unprocessed 5.56 @ 6.5-7.5¢ ea. + shipping. You'd of course need the Harbor Freight mini chop saw, cutting jig, a drill, and rotary cutter.. but if your looking to load and shoot a lot I think it'd still be the way to go.

Hey fellas (and gals) I've been watching this page for quite some time and have used some of the information found here in making some reloading decisions. I got added as an admin for the .300 HAMR FB page and figured I would share the page here in case any of yall are on there and interested in helping that group grow. We'd be glad to have ya over there too. 300 HAMR Talk FB group

Bill, sorry if this has been covered before but I don't see it in the recent post here. Do you intend on bringing the 20" barrels back in the future? My buddy and I got them when they were up but I notice they're not listed now.

The 20" were very slow sellers, so I don't see us ever making any more of them. The big sellers are the 11.3", 16" Ranger, 16" Recon and 18" Tac Hunter guns/barrels

Bill, I couldn't find the data looking back but I think you determined the MV increase started to fall off from 18 to 20", not really gaining much for a rifle length that becomes less "handy".

For velocity 18" seems to be the sweet spot

Bill, when do you expect the 300 Hamr 130 g Speer Hotcore ammo? I ordered a few hundred in early December. Also ordered a Tactical Hunter from you about the same time. Hopefully I’ll be seeing both soon.
I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas.

And I appreciate and enjoy your contributions to this forum.

Field testing some HAM'R 150gr loads was informative this weekend. I'll keep the Speer 150gr #2022 as long as I can get them.

I had a thick skulled sow try to harsh my mellow https://youtu.be/X9JEqRRwkgA

But then it performed pretty well on this sow's head https://youtu.be/5usIZGGf7I0

and this intentional ham shot was pretty impressive. https://youtu.be/DulWssUNEXg

The 150gr did some remarkable damage to the ham & hip joint but the DJones type flop was an unexpected but welcome outcome.

We're supposed to receive a shipment of the 130HHC bullets in early April so we should be filling ammo BOs by mid April, we've been out of this bullet for some time now.
