I've not seen or heard him comment on the "race" issue. To me that's a good thing.

I just saw him in The Hurricane. All around good movie.

He has stated before that he does not live the Hollywood life. Said his friends are not in the business.

A real sleeper comedy movie for Denzel and I believe one of his earliest movies overall from early 80s is "Carbon Copy" with George Segal. Very funny as he is Segal's unknown baby Mama baby that first unites with his father during his college years. Some very good laughs which is not what an older Denzel is known for...
