I spoke with a guy this week and he told me that the people standing in lines are mostly retirees. Some are flipping but most are just stocking up.

My Mom & Dad both bought pistols recently and the guy at Academy told them to be there in line when they opened to try and get ammo. So it’s not all resellers out there every morning.

I went with them, and just like others have said, it was a mad dash to the ammo isle. Everything was gone in 10 min but we did happen to get the 3 box limit each for 9mm. I think it was $11.99 a box. I appreciate Academy not jacking the price like other stores.

Is your worldview so distorted that you believe that 15 guys lining up outside of a store to buy three boxes of ammo each is the cause of ammo shortages? Have you considered that each one of them is a person just like you and that they simply need some ammo to keep at home? Instead of complaining about what other people are doing maybe you should go stand in line and then sell the ammo for exactly what you paid for it. If people like you weren't to lazy to [censored]-block the ammo flippers there would still be ammo on the shelves at every store. Stop being lazy, start getting in line at 5 a.m., and show those ammo flippers who the boss really is.

I don't get triggered because I'm not a male version of a Karen that worries about what other people are doing. If you're fed up with what you believe is a problem then get out there and compete with the people that are flipping ammo. Sell it at cost and undercut them because that's how the free market solves problems. Instead of actually trying to solve the problem you'd rather complain about it in a thread that runs into 25 + pages and in the process you are using communist rhetoric to denigrate people that you have a problem with.

Just came from my local gun shop They have fairly full shelves of ammo, and the prices are still good. I picked up a box of Hornady Outfitter 300 RUM for $75; Midway wants $99.99 and is out of stock!!

There's lots of WSM and SAUM ammo, shows how popular those rifles are.

Most of what you typed in reference to gougers/profitiees is literally pejorative rhetoric straight out of Das Kapital. This looks like a case of the "Haves" vs "Have nots".

I assume that all of you have already stocked up on food, water, and general supplies while everything is readily available?
If you are not able to be reasonably self-sufficient for a decent period of time, it's your own fault.

Just how much you need is like ammo - it's up to you to know your needs and plan for that.
