was interested to see the tang, was asked about value, if the handle will come off ( the gluing won't be a big deal, they were made this way so they could replace the handles over the years) most were family blades, some dating back to the 1500's, depending on the signature on the tang. ,most range from 450-700, depending on the history and maker, could bring more, since the Kama kazi was death by flying the plane into ships most were used by high ranking officers facing defeat ect some pilots carried a short sword in case of ditching their plane and need weapons. I have a dealer (Japanese) in northern Ca.) that I deal with. I have a general's sword thats valued at 2000 yen, would really like to have a suit of armor..$5000. and up

so I would be concerned about trying to pry it open with the glue - any way to do that safely without messing it up?
