I’m looking for a new set of waders and want some that fit more like bibs or something I’m tired of the neoprene ones I have from cabelas. I like the looks of the gator waders anyone got some first hand on them?

Been happy with my set. I hunt out of a boat in soupy mud, marsh, brush, in and out of the boat...they’ve been solid for the last two seasons.

I’d try them if Friz, would hook me up.

I highly disliked mine. Boots dry rotted and crotch seam leak after 1.5 seasons, and they wouldn't do anything about it.
Also, they don't have an x back and were always sliding down my shoulder, even cinched up tight.
Banded has a bad history of leaking waders, but I believe it was just one series. From what I understand they fixed their problem.
Can't comment on the drake waders.

I really like my sitka waders. That zipper is really nice when you pee 3-4 times a hunt like I do.

I’ve looked at the Sitka waders and I just don’t want to drop $1000 on a set. I could someday but not now. I don’t technically “need” a new pair I have the neoprene cabelas waders and I’ve used em 2 seasons but this year between the straps and the fit I’m just fed up with them. I want to try a pair of breathables this time they look like they are way easier to wear. The banded ones so far are my favorite but the gators show some good reviews so I wanted to check on them.

I use gator waders. I have the insulated and uninsulated. 2 seasons ago I purchased both pair. I put a small hole in the uninsulated pair and repaired them myself with the kit that comes with them. The insulated pair leaked in the crotch some. After the season I took them back and GW exchanged them no problem plus I think the boot on the newer waders they gave me were an upgrade from the pair that leaked. Hunted all of last year and this year and so far all is good. I like them over anything that Cabellas has. I do wish they would make them with a one strap like Cabellas used to have. Overall I like them. My buddy has the sitka pair and he has used banded and Avery in years past with poor results. He really likes his Sitka pair also. If I ever part with gator waders then I'll try the Sitka as the money , while important does not mean that much in the grand scheme of things. But I'll stay where I'm at right now as I'm happy with GW.

I’m on my third season with gator waders. They’re the most comfortable waders I’ve worn. The elastic straps are nice to be able to slide off to take a leak, but I understand how some people might not like that. I haven’t had any issues with leaks and definitely not dry rotted boots, but I hang them up between uses. I don’t baby them when in use, but I’m not in the gnarliest conditions, either.

My personal experience. I’ve never had to try and get them repaired or warranty them, so I can’t speak to that process.

Banded has been known for being extremely baggy

Gator has different fits. Check the size guide on the website. They have stout, long and king fits available.

I'm 6'2" and just under 300lb, 52" chest. I wear the king size Gators. I love the fit. More like wearing a nice set of overall/bibs with the boots attached. I'm on my 2nd pair, and I love them.

I actually loved how my Bandeds fit. Very comfortable waders. Just have serious leak issues.

My Cousin in Arkansas is wearing the Gators this year. Im curious to get his feedback after season.
