I see a lot of you can relate. Amazing how easily they can just flip you out of the way like a mild inconvenience. I used to kind of smirk at those trip hoppers. How lazy to just drive around and put out cubes. Well, I've had my ah hah moment, they don't seem so silly anymore. In fact I get it now. Anybody got one for sale?

One shot is all it should take.

Those are made right down the road from our place in Jermyn. I have looked at them too for our side by side. Problem with the little ones is you still have to fill them by hand with bags. Not like driving under a hopper and buying in bulk. That's the only reason I haven't done it. I cant justify a big one for the pickup for my 25 head.

Still my favorite cross...

This Braford dropped a hour ago, some people love those tigerstripes.

Yote - glad you got out ok.
Been there done that - my 'tame' LH bull knocked me out 3 or 4X - before I was able to drag myself out of the pen and call 911.
Spent next 2 months in hospital.
Likely woulda been gored bad on left side but my arm (ripped open) and 2 ribs (broken) stopped it somehow.
I remember making my peace with the Maker after time 3.
Been around cattle my whole life - sometimes sh!t just happens.

I've found that fat and black pays best.

Glad you're alright. My neighbors 85 yo Grandmother was trampled to death a few years ago. They found her face down in the mud. Sad deal. Glad we converted to wildlife. I hated having cows. Constant trouble and flies everywhere.

You guys are giving me sympathetic pains. I’m going for Advil or wine. Gotta think about it.

These girls are alot more gentle than my Angus cows. I can handle their calves out in field without worrying about them getting after me. Not so much with the Angus, you better have a panel/gate/fence in between you when working their calves.
