Who has the best snipers? Marines? Navy SEALs? Army Rangers or Delta Force? rifle

Nope. Just a couple guys from the California Nation Guard. Thumped everyone else bad.

Would you really want to be down range of any of them?

Wonder what they where before NG and what equipment they used.

Lol, true story

Let’s be on honest, Airforce is first into enemy territory and usually first boots on ground also.

I’d just walk away from the guys in dress blues and combat boots

Good question. I bet some are priors.

Having been in the TX Army National Guard myself, my hunch is that they train quite a bit vs being actively deployed in warzones, etc...So, probably pretty accustomed to training exercises and situations; also noticed the competition was put on by the National Guard which could be beneficial for the state Guard teams...

One of the most impressive, the Naval guns, shooting from a moving platform and still be able to drop a round within yards of the target.

Then there are the pilots, Army, Navy, Marine and USAF, they can come from thousands of miles away and still be right on target.

Most snipers I have seen are decent shots. There are some that are heavily into precision shooting and have really good gear and shoot VERY well. I have seen some active snipers come shoot a match, and couldn't find their butt with both hands. I've seen several guys and a few groups that had to be so fresh that they couldn't even get their rifles sighted in properly (2 rifles per) to compete, let alone shoot a PRS/NRL style match. The true "snipers" that I have seen compete generally come in about mid pack in the PRS/NRL matches. There are some that have the better gear and practice enough to be very good, and those shooters do well. Overall, I would say your LEO snipers are generally better than the military ones. I know many LEO snipers, and many of those boys can flat out shoot!

Hanging out with some of the long time active duty snipers after a match is pretty interesting though. Hearing some of stories is pretty cool. One that I found the most interesting was a sniper who shot a Talliban from about 10 yards with a 300 Win Mag A191 round (190 SMK doing about 3000 fps). He shot him in the chin, and nearly decapitated him.

However, shooting is only one part of their job among MANY high end skills. Other people would fail at most things they do, and not just the shooting aspect. So, overall, their skill set is still pretty good!

Hold their breath, after exhaling. Try it from where you are and see.

National Guard (Army and Air); mostly Army.

Why?

They recruit Red Necks with a Vengeance.

If I'm not mistaken, NG teams did extremely well last year as well. I don't know the number of teams each branch sends but danged impressed at what they can do.

Yes, it's 90% down to training, but 10% have a gift too so the "best ones" are scattered across the branches IMO. If you want to know who has the best on average you would have to do a deep dive into the training differences.
