Sold both before we switched out. Best feeders I have ever had bar none. Just had to get away from the height issue. From now on, back up pickup and feed. Never will have to reach up there to fill it up with 24 protein and 14 corn. Gonna make the off season feeding easier and safer.

Definitely need a feed wagon for those big 1 ton feeders.

Other guys in camp went in together to purchase silo and buggy. Asked me and Klappenbach to participate. We asked if camp would split the cost of feed to members. They wanted everyone to keep track. We did not want to be a part of their accounting.
Klappenbach and I went all stand and fill and will continue to split our feed costs 50/50. Ours will always be fresh.

I've seen a few leg shots over the years but not any feeder hits. At least one of the leg holes came from a ricochet off of the feeder pen.

Hudbone -- why did you go with the 600 lb model and not the 1000 lb model?

Klappenbach has all 600's. I have two and then then two of the 350's. We don't feed corn off season and it really isn't that hard to keep them full while we are there almost every weekend during our MLD season.

Not ideal, but accidents happen with feeder legs or ground feeders.

I hit one of Ramball36's feeders from 200 yards with a 6.5 Creedmoor. Did NOT penetrate. Just a decent sized dent. #wellmade

I tell guests not to shoot themselves or the feeder - just not necessarily in that order.
