And that fear is a powerful shield. Then he promptly enrolled me in Judo lessons by one of his buddies who was an Army judo/ju jitsu champ in S. Korea and he quickly broke me of the notion of trying to fight a bullies fight, to fight on my terms.

After that, when I got jumped, I didnt have to hurt them all. Just one. The screams were loud enough it got the others attention. The loud snap of a bone or joint gets peoples attention pretty damn quick. Even that of bullies. And if theres one thing I cant stand, its a bully.

That’s how it’s done. Parents that don’t realize this are raising victims.

Kid is just a punk. What an idiot. Did you see the big tat on his arm. What is a high school player doing with a tat like that? My ex took my stepson to get a tat on his 18th birthday. First job he had to wear long sleeve shirts to cover.

He could learn a lot there with very little of it being good. Lots of tricks to the trade to be learned.

Glad they charged the POS!

When that dirt bag did the same thing previously in a soccer incident the school should have banned him permanently from all athletic/extra curricular activities right then.
Bad on the school and bad on the coaches for allowing him to play for the sake of winning in spite of the known threat to others that he was/is.

Not big on suing people but if I was that ref and suffered serious injuries from it, I would go after the School District for they knew this punk was a threat to all.

I read on Fox that the school has been kicked out of the playoffs. Anyone else read the same?

I believe they took themselves out on their own. Why wait to be told I guess.

I think the UIL gave them the choice of letting them take themselves out or would be done by the UIL.

I still wonder why that coach ran on the field.... he wasn't running to the ref, or the player. He was going after someone else. Maybe that team is a product of their environment.

Can’t tell from the angle, but the one coach appears to running straight at the opposing team. Was he going after one of them and then he saw his player attacking the ref?

First, I feel bad for the ref. We’ve had some bad refs/umpires over the years and as much as you want to take them out of the game, you just don’t do that. You take it up after the game with the officiating agency and don’t have them ever come back.

I also feel bad for the Seniors on the team that lost out on the chance to go to playoffs and had their season end early. Since the school district pulled them from the playoffs, I wonder if this was more of a statement to the school and the coaches saying “This kid has a history of doing this and if you aren’t going to deal with it, we are going to force you to deal with it and sit your whole team.” I wonder how quickly the district will get sued by some parent saying this messed up their kids chances of college ball and scholarships.

I don’t feel bad for the kid at all. From reading other stories, it sounds like he may have already had some college offers withdrawn.

Thanks,
Rich
