Only if I had an obsolete cartridge or lack of boxer primed brass would I form brass with an incorrect headstamp.

I have re-sized a lot of .308 to 7-08. Does not bother me. I keep it in a well labeled MTM box with a lot of notes on it. For personal use I’m good with that. I would not let anyone else take possession of any of that ammo.

Most of the chambering I shoot don't have a "proper headstamp" as they are wildcats. The key is to label everything. If I were to die tomorrow, even someone who didn't know much about guns would be able to match up ammo and brass with the firearms that shoot them.

Back in the 70’s, I would occasionally squeeze .270 brass into .25/06. As long as it was just me reloading and shooting it didn’t bother me. I wouldn’t want it to get mixed with someone else’s stuff because it is mislabled.

When I first got my 264 I made my brass out of 7mag. Always painted the head red so I would know.

some people like silver and gold
I like brass and lead with a little powder in between
