I can tell you from experience out west that a bird dog vs badger, the badger has won every time. Need to get a Dachshund.  Dachs (Badger) Hund (Dog/Hound).

Pretty cool. Here they are nasty in a fight. Not something we have in my part of the world. Closest we have are wolverines which are nasty beasts as well.
