Seems like everybody is dreaming of 160 inch 8s'..... just sayin! I've probably answered 10 responses in the last week about big 8s. We focus on culling 8s by age 4 if they don't show us anything special. We've got plenty of big big deer - just not monster 8s.... I have a thread MLD Hunts it might be of interest to you.

There's something mesmerizing about a big 8. Good luck on your search.

Can’t help, but agree! Something about Big 8’s. Friend of mine’s brother shot the best one I’ve ever seen a couple years ago in KS……178 7/8’s

I let this guy walk last year, may be a grower this year. Set trail cameras out 6 days ago. Will be pulling first cards Saturday evening.

I will check back here in late August. We have some great big mainframe 8pts but generally they will have a kicker or two or even drops. These 2 were killed in the past 2 yrs....one was an upper 170's 8pt frame then had extras on top and the other was a low 180's 8 pt frame with extras. Both grossed over 200 NT. We had one clean 8 pt killed last year that was upper 150's also with several more in the 140's. 8pts don't make it past 2 yrs old here unless they are huge framed at 2. It is rare for an 8pt frame deer to make it to 4yrs old here.
