Should be lots heading your way, but expect them to take a bit longer then last year. There are still plenty hanging around up here. I'm in Northern Alberta, Canada btw.
Last I heard numbers around Calgary were spiking this week, Tens of Thousands of ducks and Geese down there. That's about 12 hours south of me.
We had a very wet summer and by all accounts the Ducks and Geese took full advantage. I'm hearing reports of record numbers coming from all around the province.
Oh, and outfitters had almost no clients this year, so more birds will make it over the border then in past years.
Best of luck guys.

Awesome pics, was supposed to have been in Alberta this year for some ducks & geese.
Local lake is starting to show semi-huntable numbers.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing! I went to Amarillo this weekend for a wedding and saw several groups of honkers flying/ feeding in wheat fields, saw a couple groups of crane and saw a few small playa lakes that each had 200+ ducks on them. They are coming Back home in Clay/Wichita counties I have seen a few more big ducks showing up and will be really interested to see what is around after this cold weather finishes blowing through in a couple days!

There was a group of Greaters in Frisco just west of the Star in that field Saturday morning- about 15-20.

We don’t duck hunt but we’ve had a bunch of ducks on one of our ponds in the last week along with some geese. We have wood ducks walk to our feeders from the water all the time during deer season when the timber floods, it’s pretty comical seeing a dozen or more waddle over to eat corn

There was a group of Greaters in Frisco just west of the Star in that field Saturday morning- about 15-20. Residents... they're a lot harder to hunt than you might think. They know what's normal. If you're lucky you get one chance then they're gone from that spot.

Had lessers in the yard on Friday. These show up this time of year every year. Could be resident birds that change their patterns during fall. Pond 1 had the mallards show up again but not in the numbers of the past... yet. Pond 3 had pintails. Nothing on Pond 5 or 7 yet but those are usually late season. No huntable numbers seen yet. I'm finishing my duck boat so I haven't scouted any lakes. I'm planning on scouting southern Oklahoma this year as well. No Kansas trip this year. Lakes I scout were low to average on water level. I haven't rechecked them since the rain Friday. I expect we are going to see lower levels in most lakes.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

A indicator tank that last week had 5-6 ducks in Clay County now has 30 this front definitely brought some down!
