No, but I have been on this hunt before. Birds willing, they will do you right.

It was decent. We only hunted the morning. Previous cool fronts had moved a lot of the birds out so it wasn’t fast and furious. I ended up with 10 for the morning. Ed and his buddy were super nice and if some new birds move in before the end of season we plan to give them a call go back.

Sounds like ya'll had a good time, congrats on the hunt. A buddy told last year was a bust. They had booked day hunters along with the TP&W winners so it was elbow to elbow spots and then nada birds. I figured that was just a one-off mistake on the # people. Glad the birds cooperated - may have to donate to next years draw. Thanks

My TPWD hunt was during the first year they did this. There were no day hunters with us and Ed was helpful in telling us where to be on the fields. We hunted morning at one area and evening at another down the road. Everyone got a few birds best I remember. My lease is just sought from where they hunt. If you got 10 birds that morning, that was really good for right now for that area.
