Are you not afraid of the raffia catching fire on the motor? It doesn’t touch anything hot, like the muffler or piston head. On the way home, stop at road side fruit stand to get my mom tomatoes her favorite, it goes like this... Fruit-stand Lady: You got hay on your boat. Me: No ma’am, that’s not real hay, I hope a cow does not ever try and eat it. Fruit-stand Lady: Oh that is camouflage. Me: yes ma’am... Fruit-stand Lady: Yeah, them fish are real smart. Me: No ma’am that’s for ducks.

I used to hunt with a guy that used his deeper dekes for juglines .. It was classic and dual purpose.

A time or two I have thrown out noodles on the paddle out to duck hunt and retrieved the catfish on the way back in. Now that juglines in Texas don't have to be white anymore, I have certainly thought about just using the decoys dual purpose now.

we did it on the ok side. Funniest thing is when we caught one and the decoy would go to bobbing like a jugline . We would always have a spread close to the shore and one or two a little farther out to get their attention.. Those are the ones we baited.
