Has it really been 6 years since you shot mallards out of that thing? And don’t hate on the spoons that’s the only way to get 6 full green heads. Not my fault your a hen shooting son of a gun. I got a few mallard straps you can probably photo shop into a picture if you’d like.

Has it really been 6 years since you shot mallards out of that thing? No, they just random pics I could easily find Gary. I shot 147 mallards over the last 6 years, per my log. I didn't always document if momarsh, gatortrax, or walk in. I use to always take my nice camera out, I do not do that much any more.

I figured tdogg was joking that it flares mallards because there was no mallards in my pics, but truth it, it will flare mallards if it is in open water, or on a bank with little cover. You need to mix in some natural cover normally.
I really don’t like hunting out of it like a layout blind. I just like it because I don’t have to hide it, and park it 50 yards away, I can sit right next to it on a stool, I got all my stuff right next to me I don’t have to unload my boat, I can use it for a coffee table and my dog can sit on it. And It runs shallow and impossible to get stuck.

Probably more near death experiences in that boat than mallards No near death experiences, but like any boat, you need to know it’s limits, and I have had times I got too close to those limits. I lost 40lbs over the last year, that makes a huge difference in a small boat like that.

If you are looking for price/performance, long tail and john boat would be better money spent, and less of a hassle to maintain. I hunt this boat for the fun of it, kinda like the guys that shoot dove with a 20ga, 12ga is your better price/performer, but they shoot the 20ga because it is fun. I hunted 30 days last season, only hunted the momarsh 5 times, which is pretty typical for a season, the other hunts I use my gatortrax, this is my 12ga. When not in use during season, I cover with a tarp to protected from rain and sun. The camo grass if left to the elements will disintegrate. During the off season I pull the motor off, and wrap up even better, fiber glass does not do good left in the sun. A john boat you would not have to cover. I probably spend $150 a year just on tarp, because they do not last. I have been looking at custom cover that would last for years, about $700 that would cost me.

Where did you get the motor & drive?

Will the momarsh cut across the lake safely to get to the river? I think its a couple of miles from the boat ramp to the marshy stuff. Would I be better off just throwing a long tail on a 12-14' alumacraft? both could handle around a foot of water right?

Waives a foot high is pretty much max for a momarsh, and I would try and avoid waives that big. If I'm on the throttle, I can take on big waives, but if the motor dies I'm toast. I have been in waives so big, I'm like surfing.

If the lakea stay low this season that rig maybe the ticket If your rolling solo a good mud boat will get you every bit as shallow as that thing. Put a winch on the front and you can get to places that boat can't.

You definitely shouldn't trust me to write your English 101 paper, that was the only class I got a C in, and the only class a professor counted off for spelling, there rest just cared about the content, I got A's there.

The fact you knowingly spelled wave "waive" three times in a row gives me serious trust issues. You need to call SMU and ask for a refund.

Spelling is overrate little grasshopper, and won't make you money. You know Einstein was a bad speller? My wife received her MBA from smu. Great grammar oddly terrible at shorthand math. She tells me she uses a calculator or spreadsheet no need for a pencil. I wish spell check and auto correct were that flawless for me.

I need to post a copy of my parole letter, its well written For the record I have watched garrett sink a momarsh fun times...if I remember correct when I took off you were yelling at me from the bank about being a idiot for not having a life jacket. that paddle back sucked so bad we headed straight home, drove 3hrs soaking wet. Pulled into town at midnight, and decided to stop at the local bar for a beer. we were there 20 minutes and were asked to leave because my dog was crated in the truck and barking non-stop.
