We eat a lot of the venison I, with the help of others, prepare. I consider it completing the circle which is hunting. Geez, I wish I could be as good, as honorable, as deserving and certainly as noble as Colt and others. I'll keep trying. Maybe some day. i'm one of them thar jerks, legal tis legal, brown it's down, supporters, that uses bad grammer... Thinks all deer are trophys... & posted a ta ya'lls high standardards... edit : in the " Natural progression of lease hunting... i couldn't afford it... Twas a Blessing whin a WMA opened up just down the road... Hunted just as hard, maybe harder, didnt have baiting stations, had ta sit out in the cold & rain, slept in tent, snow on the ground... Passed up deer, cause buck only, & told not enough deer for doe tags... & even whin went 4 deer... Still let deer pass... Helped out with so called hog problem... rant over...

"Same here, 4-5 deer min a year actually. Since we didn’t make it to Sept this year, think I’m going to have to up that a little this year." Yeah I am kinda embarrassed for you. You need to step up your game. In addition, you could be supplementing your meat diet with corn, but you evidently are wasteful putting too much of it down on the ground.
"posted a up ta ya'lls high standardards... " Don't think anyone here is measuring up your deer hunting in an unfavorable way. They make vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream for a reason. In addition, I prefer blondes. It's all good and yes, i can see you wondering a lot, a whole lot of wondering.

In the world of estate tax planning, there is no asset that can be leveraged down from its fair market value more than family ranch land. In my opinion, anyway. It’s a beautiful thing.
Yelp And Thank God for it!!! Gonna be a lot of work for estate planning folks coming up if the loons win the election. I will give it to my grandkids before I give it to those bastards. It will interesting to see what happens. The exemption equivalent amount has never been reduced, but if we continue the tradition of the new administration doing everything they can to overturn everything put in the place by the previous administration, next year could be the first. There are certainly some folks betting on that with very substantial 2020 wealth transfers.

Colt, is all your deer hunting complete when you punch the last food stamp when securing the final trophy of the season?

I don't get headaches. Never. If it's complicated, just how could you be ignorant?

Here's a quote that I found in "bargain" book that I purchased earlier this week while the wife and I were on a mini vacation in Montana. The book is entitled "The Little Red Book of Hunter's Wisdom" and includes nothing but hunting-relating quotes from various sources dating back to the 1800's. The first quote below appears quite applicable to the topic at hand... "The pleasure of the sportsman in the chase is measured by the intelligence of the game and its capacity to elude pursuit and in the labor involved in the capture. It is a contest with sharp wits where satisfaction is mingled with admiration for the object overcome." John Dean Caton, The Antelope and Deer of North America (1877) Another quote worth mentioning... "No, I'm not a good shot, but I shoot often." Theodore Roosevelt (Early 1900's) The book is available on Amazon and from other online sources for those who might interested in picking up a copy. Mine cost me a meager $6. The Little Red Book of Hunter's WisdomA lot of men back then had broader vocabularies than men have today. And they acquired it with all that "male toxicity".
