That thing is cool. I've got a 12' auger that we use.

I bought a used winch up feeder from a member here a couple of years ago. Damn, that's nice when I have to fill it myself.

I got tired of winching by hand, especially with a hurt shoulder alone in the heat with 7-8 to fill at a time. I replaced the hand crank winches with American made (Dutton Lainson) worm gear winches with the hex drive. Run them up & down with a Dewalt cordless drill (brushless drill only or you'll burn it up). Now that's easy! Get yourself a couple of big batteries, run the barrel down quick on high speed/run the full barrel up on low speed. Works like a charm. up

Took my feeder off its 7’ legs & put it on a sled with the hopper top at 5’. Kevin Weaver, a fellow THF member, did the work. I am so pleased with it.
