Their fried chicken is good but that spicy sandwich is nothing to write home about. As mentioned it's the sauce that is spicy and it isn't very good. I had a bite of my wife's regular sandwich and it was better. If they would make it the same as their spicy chicken they may be on to something

I’ll never go to Popeyes again I’m sure some of you seen or heard the commercial if you download the Popeyes app and do a 15$ order you’ll get a free chicken sandwich well I did the app also did a 20$ Order with the free chicken sandwich on the order then when I picked up my order they refused to give me the free chicken sandwich I told the clown behind the counter that I was never ordering from his store again he pretty much said he didn’t care so screw Popeyes. Their customer service is the worst in the industry. Never again.

I had another one yesterday. Chicken breast was huge! i really like the sandwich. But Chick fil a is still my favorite.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Has anyone had a chance to try what-a-burgers? I have heard it isn't worth the time.

Popeyes hasn't been good since the Copeland family sold all the restaurants. All of the sides used to be made on site daily and the chicken was marinated the night before cooking. When you got spicy you could peel the crust off and see the cayenne pepper. Now everything is made in a central location and shipped to the stores and the 'spicy' has been dumbed down for the masses.
Smart move for the Copeland family. They sold all the stores but not the food distribution (Spicy Express).

I still love their Red Beans and Rice and really like their spicy chicken. The sammie is just okay though IMO.

I happened to get one the first week they came out before all the hype and honestly I don't get it. Yes it's a good sandwich, but I wouldn't say it's better than Chick Fil A. If I'm going to Popeyes its for a Spicy White Meat 2 pc with Red Beans and Rice with a biscuit. Not a fan of the sandwich, but do like the white meat , beans, & rice.
