I’m reading a lot of y’all are liking the back vs the front but, what are y’all doing about your tail gates on your buggies? I have my dog with me most of the time and I can’t open the gate with my feeder on the back. I also wish I had the 100#’er vs my 50 #‘er.

Homer75, just give it a try on the front and see how much corn dust you get ... I plan on doing that with my RTV to see how that goes, so I don't have to remove from the rear to use my hydraulic bed.

They make a low profile that fits in the receiver so you can open your tailgate.

Get a Z Bracket from All Seasons Feeders, I'm able to open my tailgate on my Ranger with the feeder still there.

heck, I start feeding now, every time I go down. Early in the season, I will use somewhere between 25 and 50 pounds per hunt spread down four senderos. A couple of weeks in, I neck that down to somewhere about 25 and can typically feed out two places with one 50 pound feeder.
My road feeder is set to disburse corn more sparingly than some others. I don't like roads of gold, because I don't want an animal sitting in one spot and not moving. I'll take my chances on which way they travel (at me or away from), but I do want them moving. I’m embarrassed for you and those rookie numbers. You are going to have to up your game. Corn futures are at 374, 20 year low, you need to take advantage of this!!! Don’t let China buy cheap corn, make them pay for it!!! Pave it gold

I'm definitely going try the front mount feeder, I like the idea of it being in the front. As dusty as my place is in La Grange, I can't imagine it being any worse but, time will tell.

Yeah, I'll try to do better. Never knew so many of my meticulously thought out, tried & true hunting methods were so askew. Hope you have the right face on for that there emotion.

I throw from the front and have never noticed any dust. Now that's going to be all I'm thinking about next time I do it.

I’m on the front too but I do have the radiator get clogged up. I’m off road a lot and always thought that was the issue with grass etc and I think it is but y’all have enlightened me to the dust being part of it. I have added a removable screen in front of radiator. I’m leaving in front, just too much stuff going on on the back. As far how much to corn, one of tlks hunters said “he who spends the most on corn kills the biggest buck.”

Don't watch it from your vehicle, watch from a following vehicle. Do a test run at night with the lights on, you'll be surprised. Your breathing in that dust.

Anyone make a road feeder that attaches to the hitch ball? That would be pretty dang handy.

I have a 100 lb. ASF feeder that stays on the front of my Kubota RTV-X1100C. I tried it on the back but it's too much of a pain in the butt to use the tailgate or hydraulic dump bed. It's not a problem on the front. Since I use it daily on the ranch year round, I have always used my air compressor to blow any seeds etc. out of the screens to keep them clean. I just take a second, pull into the shop grab an air hose and it's done. This UTV has a factory cab so I have never had a dust problem in the cab area. Also have 2 mules and another feeder that mounts on the rear of them by way of the receiver hitch. No problem there either.

I've got an HD10 and i keep mine on the back, using a SuperATV rear bumper with a receiver plate bolted to bumper. Probably takes me a good 5 minutes to empty the 50lb hopper at each shooting lane, covering an area maybe 50-60yds long and 20-30yds wide.

Back in the mid '80s I hunted a couple times on a lease outside of Freer. One of the lease guys was semi-retired so he was there a lot. He had one of the small feeders that you just slipped onto the tailgate of a pickup and ran a string from it up to the cab to open and close the cap on the chute. He would drive the roads and senderos pulling on that string and dropping corn. Saw lots of deer there.
