Sanger, TX - Hunter's Choice

They make some really good sausages, meatballs, the Venison Tamales!

You get your deer back if its steaks and straight grind. They also honor special request and typically no extra cost.

Anybody out in the East Texas hunt Wood county I've used five different processors in the years I've been hunting all of my mind were good processors until I met Ronnie at Deer Feathers in Winnsboro Texas he is by far the most reasonable processor I've used on Custom Grinds, Jerky, sausage, smoked sausage, summer sausage (TRY HIS FANDANGO FLAVOR) Perfect Backstrap Cutlets, and packaged meat he takes pride in what he does and I've yield the most meat from him than any processors I have used in the past I strongly recommend him plus if you call ahead of time he will process hogs axis and blackbucks during non deer season months

Joshua deer processing it Joshua, TX. They're quick and I really enjoy everything they've made.

Naturally Fresh in Midland is incredible. Their maple breakfast sausage is a must. If you're working in Midland, it's the place to take it.

Several years back I had one deer done at Kuby's in Dallas, and it was absolutely terrible. Never again.

I have seen others on here mention Schotts Processing near Helotes before, so I thought I would share that they are closing their doors.
It is sad to see them go.

"J's" in San Angelo does a good job. I normally only have steaks/buger/chili done. One of the guys on my lease makes great sausage.

I have used Midway in Katy for over 20 years. Based on my experience last season, I will now try Bellville Meat Market in Bellville.

Kenny Fred's - Bluffdale; Stephanie and her crew do a great job and hold true to the traditions that Kenny Fred operated by. Bring a beer, chat, check out what's coming in. Saw the biggest Elk I've ever seen in Texas there.

Then get cleaned up and come on back to visit the wonderful Greenwood Saloon!

Anyone know any more about the status of Schotts or what happened? I've used them for years and they were super fast at the new location. It seems like there is more to the story here.

Thanks,
Rich

Anyone used the deer processor on 380 east of Lake Bridgeport.

Also, seems like I heard of a new place in Paradise, Texas last year but lost the info.

Bluebonnet in Bonham does an excellent job. I used someone else last year and will not make the same mistake... I will make the drive to Bonham for the customer service, great pack sizes and "you get your own meat"

My now deceased BinL from Fayetteville TX turned me onto Entenmann's in Industry TX, 1/2 way 'tween Fayetteville to Brenham. Full service local grass fed meat market & great game processing too, and really nice folks eager to provide any kind of fresh meat product custom cut you could ever want.

Just stopped in yesterday to check out Frankie Svehlak's place 2 1/2 miles, or about 10 minutes, east of Ennis on Hwy 34. Frankie works out of a butcher shop behind his driveway just past SOKOL's on the north side of the hwy. Everything about the property is spotless from the big brick house to the shop and out buildings. Very friendly folks who stopped what they were doing to show me around. The Walk In Freezer was spotless inside and out with No Odor of any kind at all. Apparently been doing Game Processing waaay long time, and were not put off when I mentioned I'd been using Kuby's since 1975 and was looking for that kind of smoked sausage. Frankie showed me some fresh cut back strap that was perfectly cut and just getting packaged. When I asked about their Hours, and explained I was coming back from Mineral Wells after the TPW Hunt was over at 2PM , and was headed to Palestine, Stephanie the grown grand daughter said call me and we can work you in as long as it not going to be too far past our normal 5PM closing time. Frankie's prices are very competive too. Only thing I thought was a little strange is that they do not process Wild Hogs, according to the price list. Ya'll check 'em out if you get a chance. I'm looking forward to the smoked Sausage & Pan Sausage too.

I have to give props to the two processors that I use regularly, Kimble's in Junction and Hunter's Creek in Liberty Hill. I've had dozens of animals (whitetail, exotics, hogs) processed at each place over the last 8 years and have always had a great experience. Sure, we can always nitpick minor things (too much smoke on some of the Kimble sausages, individual packages a little too big at Hunter's Creek, for example), but in general, I've always been happy with their service, availability and quality. I am not affiliated with either owner, just happy customer. Just last week I took out some Axis ham steaks from Kimble and the butchery is top notch, not a trace of any silverskin or connective tissue. Our family loves the smoked sausage from Hunter's Creek, just got a fresh batch from a buck dropped off a couple of week ago.

Shannon's Taxidermy and meat processing in Cherokee Texas. Off highway 16 on the north side of town. Best meat processing on the planet.

We tried out Primo Processing in Hondo for the first time. Met with the owners when we dropped off the deer and they seemed like great guys and they also gave us lots of samples while we were filling out the paperwork. We ordered smoked link sausage with jalapeno and cheese and some summer sausage with jalapeno's and cheese. I had some of the link sausage last night and it was really good. The summer sausage is very mild and also tastes good. The processed deer is in nice, thick vacuum sealed bags with detailed labels that include the date. Overall, we were very pleased and will be taking more deer there in the future.

Thanks,
Rich

I really like Republic Butcher Company in Round Rock. I kinda have to say that, since I own it stir

Stonewall and Dzuiks were my favorite before I opened, though.
