Just reached in one of the freezer and had to look way too hard for some game meat thanks to a slim hunting season. Looking for a simple meat hunt within a couple hours of New Braunfels. Does or culls. This is 100% a meat hunt, so as long as you don't bring them out on a leash I won't judge you if you don't judge me smile

I think I am going to try to get rid of a Axis buck. Third set of antlers so they are not that big. He is starting to work on my fence so he needs to go. And he is not on a leash. I will get a picture and think about a price.

Sounds good. I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with. Thank you!

If MikeD77 passes on this deal, I'm interested for my 15 yo son.

I’m sorry, I missed the response from Don K. Thanks, but really looking for a couple of does at about that price as it is purely groceries to last until November. Hopefully it will be a good experience for your son, OrangeShogun.

Wow can’t believe this is still available. The hide is a trophy by itself be careful when skinning. There is a professional tanner in San Antonio. Don probably can recall their name. Good luck to some lucky hunter.

Don is offering a great deal.

If you are looking for does I have plenty of them on our places in the Sonora area. It will be $150 per day to hunt and $350 per doe harvest fee.

I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game.

Agreed that Don is offering a steal on a buck and I understand 100% that people are willing to pay that price and yours. I’m just not looking for a hide, antlers or experience. Wife would do the math and tell me to go to our place and shoot a pig or just head to HEB lol.

I just watched some Axis sell on Wildlife buyer. Buck like the one I have went for $760. Does a little less than $300 each. And that was through a auction so it is like the wholesale price. If I can't get him taken today or tomorrow I may just forget about it.

I have given my phone number. I wanted to get him taken now. I have folks say they can come next week and others a couple of weeks. One said tomorrow. I have not got any conformations on the hunt. I thought hunting him and giving someone a very good deal would be very easy. I was proved wrong. So I will probably stick a dart in him and put him up for auction and make a couple of hundred extra bucks. Thanks for the interest and education.

Geez don k, just because we can't all run out to Bandera at the drop of a hat, no reason for you to get offended.

I didn't pick up that he was offended, just a businessman that realized this place is exactly like Craigslist - tons of people (but not all) that don't have their crap together.

Because we couldn't come today or tomorrow, we don't have our "crap together"? Yeah, okay. I guess it was his "I was proved wrong" and "thanks for the education" comments that I misinterpreted.

Admittedly, I am. I take exception to your comment about "tons of people that don't have their crap together". I'm the guy that couldn't make it for a couple weeks. I can't make it for a couple weeks because I have business trips planned until then. Far from not having my crap together.
Oh well, I've said my piece. Have a great weekend and Happy Independence Day!

Through a few parties I am pretty sure I know who this is and that was a legit offer. He only had one post though. Don made a business decision and I do not fault him for that. If my son was turning 10 instead of 1 and Don made that offer I would have been at Kerrville Muni last night lol

I have taken several to The Nugget Company, they are downtown San Antonio near the old stockyards.

Hey, people, this is Don's call. There's a convenience / price / hassle factor that every vendor must decipher. Heck, if I'd seen this earlier and if I didn't live north of Dallas, I'd have Venmo'd him the $500 before I'd finished reading the end of his post. It was good of him to even make the offer.
