I think they would be OK in a 12 pound shotgun. Maybe.

No way i would clean a 200 lb boar. I shot a big sow and young boar in Fannin County at close range with dove loads. Buckshot should kill him but he will probably run off depending on distance. Running off would be fine with me. I gut shoot them with 22 mag.

Leon, I don't see a working order form link on the website anymore.

Trapped a huge boar once that had 000 buck shot that was stopped by his shield that was almost 2” thick. Biggest boar I ever trapped...use full power loads if it a big one

I found a phone number for them...352-542-2100. Hopefully they are still in business.

Hopefully still in business. I haven't had to purchase any in the last 7-8 years. I do know that production had been temporarily halted about that time...because of health issues affecting the (owner/manufacturer). But I believe it resumed some time later.

If it is found they are still in business....someone please let us know. I want to order some more tri-ball while I can.

I just called them...they have a voice mailbox that has not been set up. It did not say that it had been disconnected or is no longer in service.

I will try again later.

I just spoke to Mrs. Gates, the widow of the late owner, and she says they have been closed for the last 3 years frown.

Pressure tested handloading data provided by the late owner of Dixie Slugs is here: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?47198-Tri-Ball-Revisited!/page2&s=327ba215f67ba728c30e4b0c62bb5cd6

They simplify everything and if you have irons they are good to at least 75 yards.

I have shot many hogs from a bow stand, including big boars, with 00 buck shot. About 25 yards. I left my 00 buck at home once so I used some 3 1/2" BB goose shot, got two pigs that evening.

Sad to hear this. Guess I'll be rationing the 10 boxes I still have left.
