Has anyone duck hunted a Win SX4? Really concerned about it being around saltwater.
I've got to say.. Out of all the guns I held from an A350 up to a SBE3, AND a Versamax, the SX4 is the best fit and feeling gun I've put in my hands thus far. But, feeling good in my hands means nothing if it's going to jam up and rust away around saltwater.
Anyone? Thanks for your help by the way

There’s nothing inherently different about the SX4 versus other gas guns that will make it more prone to rust or jam. Take care of the thing and you’ll be fine. As far as the outside, get a camo dipped version. I’ve had or currently still shoot a Super X-1, SX2, and SX3. No complaints.

Take Care of it & it will outlast you. Always get the shotgun that fits & feels the best to you. A shotgun has to fit you good to shoot it the best you can.

Defiently going to be camo dipped.. For those that saw my Versa Max thread, I was pretty gun hoe about getting the Versa Max.. I put an SX4 in my hands yesterday though and immediately caught my attention.. Felt awesome!!! I'm just having a hard time find "reliablity" reviews about it. I'd opt for the Versa Max if I knew it would be a more reliable gun

They are a heavy gun compared to a SX4,but that is what makes the VM so soft shooting along with a great gas system.

Cool deal, thanks guys. My biggest concern is just the fact that I cant find much info or reviews on the SX4, but it immediately became the best fit in my hands when I picked it up. I love the big bolt release and safety button, and it was nice and light and was easy to swing around. Like I said, I can find lots of info on the SX4 and any gun from guys that hunt north texas or any freshwater.. But our guns get much bigger abuse hunting down here in the saltwater, so the fact that someone has used their SBE3 as a boat paddle on a lake doesnt really do anything for me. They prob wouldn't be doing that in saltwater

I can't speak on the SX4, and I am far from a shotgun expert. I got a SX2 in 2005. Load it with 1 1/8 ounce, or heavier, and it runs perfect. It will cycle faster than I can shoot accurately. Not a single hiccup in 15 years.

If you’re worried about light loads, get a 3” model. My 3” SX3 handled 1oz target loads fine.
