Used to shoot at 92fs. Like the single/double action. Suggestions for under $700?

Never personally owned a px4 but I’ve also never heard a good thing about them either. I’m sure they are fine pistols but a beretta 92 would be my choice well before the px4.

I have the full size 45, compact 9, and sub compact 9. I shoot them well, just slower on the 45. No issues from a reliability perspective. They fit my hands very well unlike the more popular handgun such as Glock, Smith & Wesson, or Springfield.

The new 92X looks awesome.

I’m guessing you’re not a Glock fan, but look at the shadow systems MR920. They’re amazing for the money

I thought the 92fs was fat for my hand. New grips could have helped. Also not a glock fan.

If you like Double/Singe action, I would look hard at a CZ 75. To me, it's the ultimate in that category.

Ordered one of these just because I wanted something I could add Holosun to.

92's are to fat for me also. I personally like SIG's but there's a gun out there I will own one of these days, CZ-75. Looks and feel of a Browning Hi-Power but DA/SA. As much as I like Hi-Powers I can't believe I don't have one.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I’ve had a PX4 type F (decocker) in 9mm for a couple of years. It’s great, and soft shooting. Only gripe I had about it was that the mag spring was real tight, so I needed a mag loader. Over time that softened up, so I don’t need the mag loader any more. I’ve run a lot of ammo through it, and it’s very accurate.

Somebody said they’d never heard anything nice about it, which seems very odd to me. What’s not to like?

It comes with extra grips, so you can tailor the grip to your hand. Rear sight is left/right adjustable. Great single action trigger. The DA trigger is good also, but how good depends on the user and his opinion.

Double single range gun under $700?

CZ SP-01 or P-09

CZ 75.

For strictly a range gun full size is probably good.

My Compact model is my primary carry and I love it.
I've made a couple simple modifications that I've posted here and it's a great sidearm.

92FS with Wilson Combat thin grips has a great feel. Amazed me how much of a difference it was over the stock grips or hogue rubber ones

Rifle Gear in Plano usually has a bunch of CZ which I agree are great guns, but I'm a single action person. Hate the long heavy first shot.

I rarely use double at the range, and in an emergency I always figured adrenaline would take care of the extra pull. grin
