The OP question is legitimate, looks like it hit a little too close to home for some. Nothing wrong with being on THF everyday but the need to post something every 3 minutes is odd.

The things you get from post count is the little title doohickey under your username, your user name in the Top Posters box on the left of the page under the Newest Members box.
Some folks find that a really important goal in life.
The only money to be made is if you join only to post in the classifieds.
6 months and 100 posts of nothingness in various threads, then never see em anywhere else but the classifieds.
Some people even pay to be able to sell without doing the 6 months 100 post thing.

Why would you harass someone via PM on a hunting or fishing forum? That seems very strange and something a stalker would do. I wish coyotes and turkey took the bait as easy as BigBob did.
