I got something about protesting the mail. Threw it in the trash. Locked when I turned 65.

Have they mailed out 2020 property tax info yet? No, not yet. But it will be higher since they are allowed to change the tax rate and the fact that the assessed value is bases on jan 1st when the economy was still stellar.

Appraisal Districts...sorry fock cuckers! I could not have said it better. Can you imagine your job consisting of driving around trying to con people out of more money (taxes) for improving a property they own? Oh, you built a fence around your property; that’s $50k worth of value for the county. Planted shrub? We will call that $10k. Not sure how they sleep at night.

Same thing, every politician says...…..And once elected......It's business as usual...………and there was none better at it, than Rick Perry...….. You don't own anything in Texas... You rent it, from the state...…… Not your house, not your car...…. And the nicer you try to make it.... The more the state, charges you, to rent it...…….. Lottery for school taxes... What a joke that turned into...……. I once bought a house in Parker County, (tax nazies of texas)………. Payment was around $400 a mo...…….. Paid it off early.. (in 15 years)….. In the 15 years, the monthly tax, bill was almost equal to the payment..... And that, never goes away...…….. Sorry, about the soap box boys...….It's my pet peeve...…….

You don't have to pay them until 1/31/2021. I do have to pay. Mine were frozen. I pay mine with my income tax refund.

Ah, the old "Texas Wealth Tax" annual gripe thread. Haven't got my notice yet, but I expect it to go up around $25. Currently $652 a year, so $675 would not be unexpected. In two years mine will freeze as well.

We got a check back last year as well over paid on our escrow account. We received a notice recently that our escrow would be short this year. Whatever the extra bottle rockets and keystones bought with the refund check were well worth it.

Why are you not loading up your dogs and hunting year round like in Central and South America?
