I will say, wearing the N95 surgical masks for any extended time gets warm around the mouth but the protection barrier is worth the inconvenience.

My wife, sister in law, and mom are making masks for people in the community. Donations are welcome but not necessary

Wear one of these all day long. Have to wear it on my way out of the hospital everyday so as long as it is not contaminated I keep it. Have heard that 30 mins in the oven at low temp also "reactivates" them.

In cloth masks it is about layers because of the porosity of the fabric. The proposed way to make a cloth mask from a bandana or T-shirt is 8-16 layers. Depends on how it is folded. There are a lot of people making and selling masks. Most are to be fashionable and I doubt their effectiveness.

Stick a paper towel inside of the cloth mask, that should upgrade the effectiveness.

I've been to Walmart and HEB several times and never saw more than a couple of mask. Making a little loop today without a mask. Don't remember sneezing or coughing in public.

If you have some of those blue shop towels you can fold them to use as a filter in your homemade mask

Just use a feminine pad.. Better than a paper towel and if you get the stick back ones you don’t need to worry about those pesky bands around the ears.

The preppers will tell you that you should have had them in your hoarded stash. But ask your mailman for some.
