This is so stupid.....I work in Bossier City (46 cases) and live between Dallas (488 cases) and Houston (455 cases)..... I can get you to waskom just fine from bossier that doesn't involve 20. I’ve been on a drilling rig location 3 miles south of Bethany since noon yesterday...I came down 79. We cross back and forth at several small roads catching work on both sides of the state line...

Governor Abbott declared no vehicular traffic is allowed from Louisiana. Entrants are to be quarantined for 14 days. Not true. Travelers have to self quarantine for 14 days if they come from Louisiana. Travel is not banned by car. He said this applies to travel by road from any location in the state of Louisiana and will be enforced by the Texas Department of Public Safety at entry points into the state. The order does not apply to travel related to commercial activity, military service, emergency response, health response, or critical infrastructure functions. He also said people flying from Miami, Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago, California and Washington state into Texas must be self-quarantined.” I sure hope they plan on transferring a whole bunch of State Troopers to the border if they plan on manning every road crossing over the state lines between the two. Now if they are only talking about I-20 and I-10 that will leave lots of entry paths open. National Guard could augment. I wonder what happens when there is a skirmish and shots are fired. By DPS or who ever is enforcing the order. This has potential to get ugly real quick.

I've seen them deploy 600 of them to an area in just a few hours. With this being an order from the Governor, I'd bet there's a thousand of them there already.

I've seen them deploy 600 of them to an area in just a few hours. With this being an order from the Governor, I'd bet there's a thousand of them there already. I hope people maintain their sensibility and our men & women enforcing this order stay safe.

I drove to Vivian Louisiana a few months ago. Crossed the border on a rock road. Yeah anyone with Texas plates and Google maps is fine I'm sure.

My son also works out of Bossier City. He came back into East Texas awhile ago on Interstate 20. He said there were three State Troopers stopped on the westbound shoulder in Waskom. He was not stopped. He does have the placard/paperwork from Homeland Security reflecting his critical infrastructure status. If things change tomorrow I will post.
