Double check their policy on end of life circumstances. Even some of the shelter in place orders are allowing nursing homes to open their doors to visitors in the event of end of life circumstances. I know Rockwall County is one of them.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mother-in-Law but I do believe there are provisions for scenarios like this.

My grandmother is in a very similar situation at the moment - memory care in a nursing home in Cleburne.
Hospice called my dad yesterday and said Grammie will not likely live for 48 more hours. My dad and uncle have been able to be with their mom in her final moments since they got the call and my mom and aunt can rotate in as needed or wanted.

Press a little bit at the front desk and hopefully they can be with her in her final moments.

We got to FaceTime Grammie last night and she was coherent enough to get some I love yous in and touch the screen showing her 9 month old great grandson. It was a flood of emotions and they're coming back up as I type again, but dementia is such a horrible disease. I'm ready for her to be at peace.

Lord I Pray that you wrap Gail and Sue in your loving arms. I pray that you bring Gail into your presence and remover her of her pain. I pray that you show Your love to Sue and comfort her in this time of need. In Jesus's name we Pray. Amen.

Prayers, dementia is difficult to watch. I was my grand mother's guardian until she passed.

My wife just got off the phone with the director there and y’all were correct, they are watching her closely and will let my wife go see her. Turns out they had given her some Tylenol with codine this morning and that might have been part of the reason she was so non-responsive and wouldn’t open her eyes on the FaceTime. They think the hospice nurse may have jumped the gun a little, but said the time is coming and probably within the next 30 days. They will monitor her well, and let my wife know when she can see her.
