Giraud Trimmer  Wished I had one. Thanks and Keep them coming. Look up "Trim It". Never even seen a Giraud but have heard they are high dollar. Trim it is about $100 plus each caliber die of about $20. Can be used with battery power drill motor or a small drill press works great.

A tip if I may, If you find a wide node in hot weather, try to use the charge of the higher side of the wide node so when the cold weather comes, you will decrease some velocity and still be inside the node. Just a heads up.

I was doing some searching today, and found the best powder burn rate chart I've seen. It included many powders that are not included in many Hodgdon or other manufacturer burn rate charts. This chart included some of the newer Alliant powders, like 300 MP, 2000 MR and 4000 MR. It also has some of the military powders listed, which was what I was looking for. It does not have the newer R33 and R26 powders on it though. It's a small chart, but very useful. I look at burn rate charts constantly. It tells me volumes of data when you know where other powders you have used with certain cartridge and bullet combinations and where to work from with new powders you have not used before. It allows you to estimate your powder charges with much more consistency. Anyway, here's the link I found. http://www.castpics.net/LoadData/BurnRates.pdf

In cold weather, insert a dryer sheet into the powder bottle on your shotshell press to help insure a better powder drop.

Because I have a single stage press. I will deprime and resize as many pieces as I can. I rarely leave once fired brass that hasn't been resized and deprimed laying in the drawer.
I'll trim, chamfer and deburr, and reprime all of it. Put it in the box it came in if it's once fired brass from ammo I purchased. I do have some brass that I purchased that came in a bag. I went to Academy and bought some of their ammunition carriers (50 round) to neatly hold the new brass that has been primed and is awaiting a load. I'll go ahead and put a label on it with the necessary information and leave the bullet, powder info, OAL, and date blank. That way when I know I'm about to have a day to go do some shooting I can load up what ever I need to experiment with or load up an already proven load to try at differnet ranges.
I've only been doing this for about 6 months now and love learning more about it. It is a bunch of fun. you have answered my ? about priming brass and let sit stored, was wondering if it would deteriorate.

Single stage press here, just do brass prep in batches. I keep a jug of cases primed for each cal, but no more than 100 ea. Keep track of stages of brass prep - deprime/clean/lube/size/expand/prime/flare. Easy to forget where you were, if you prime last, cases will be ready.

Since we all have such hectic lives these days and have a tendency to get in a hurry and forget what was last done to spent brass ,write down info on a sticky that was preformed and store with brass. The next time you decide to continue you’ll no we’re you’ve left off.
