That 500rps is an impressive number! Easy to control muzzle jump at that rate. I'd like to see somebody shoot one, but I prefer to watch from inside an MI Abram or a heavily armored Striker, thank you.

I don't know if a lot of you are aware of it but in the old Soviet Union- the worse nightmare mankind has ever know in regard to freedom, you could have in your house a shotgun "for sporting purposes". You could have a rifle or handgun if it was kept locked up at a local gun range. What some of these folks want is more restrictive than the Soviet Union.

I think the Second Amendment is pretty clear, it starts with the "well regulated militia" clearly the guns being discussed are not "sporting" guns. They are guns to defend America. Back then everyone was automatically in the militia, like jury duty. The Militia Act of 1792 and 1793 were some of the first laws passed by the new congress under the Constitution. BY LAW you were required to obtain a "suitable" rifle or musket. In 1903 Congress passed a law that ended the public having to drill,etc. for militia duty and they simultaneous created what is today the National Guard BUT HERE'S THE DEAL. Just because Congress made the militia inactive doesn't mean the Second Amendment no longer exists. It would take a Constitutional Amendment to get rid of the Second Amendment.

The "well regulated militia" means the State government tells everyone show up to see that the laws are faithfully enforced, etc. Fine. no problem. But to argue just because the local authority has the right to call forth the militia has NOTHING to do with the right of the people to keep and bear arms. If the people have no arms, the government can't call forth a militia, just a crowd. In every nation in every age down through the history of the world. a militia is an armed citizen, wearing his own clothes, reporting with his own personally owned weapons.

It says the right of "THE PEOPLE" so years ago chief justice Warren Burger made this HUGE LEAP in logic that people means GOVERNMENT. No where in the Constitution can that substitution fit. It is a ridiculous argument. It also threatens the very nature of the rest of the Constitution if that argument stands. I do however think that people means all of us. That works for me. Let's say Chicago passes a law- no one can have a gun. That applies across the board to ALL PEOPLE- IMHO clearly unconstitutional. Let's say a background check is required to make sure ONE PERSON isn't a convicted criminal, mental problem, etc. That doesn't impact "The People". If some nut job in California tries to buy a gun and they stop the purchase- it really doesn't impact the rest of us. My dream is a case in which the supreme court makes that ruling. The issue is settled, government cannot infringe on the People owning firearms.

I live in one of the first three second amendment sanctuary counties and our sheriff has already stated he will not entertain any silliness out of Washington or Austin. That said, there are many other ways they can constrict the pipelines....ammo, reloading equipment, etc. If Hiden is decalred the winner tonite, ammo and guns will SKYROCKET almost instantly. Not going to be good for anyone who isn't stocked up on ammo
