There has been no corrections in years or accountability. Everything has been smiles and pats on the back all the while being complacent since 2012. I have a feeling the real pain will be in about 6 months when the businesses that rely on China so much bottom out.

We had a correction in 2018. I believe it was borderline bear market.

I'm only 20% in stocks. It is amazing how fast it can grow then go away in a week. I was talking to my broker, she said ride this crap out AGAIN. I have a "magic" number I've always dreamed of reaching. i reached it just before this Corono-Crash. She says next time i reach it, she say i need to "take profits"

this is my fall back money. i got a small pile of lettuce under my mattress i supplement my pension and SS with. i really want the big nut and my house to go to my kid when i croak.

So this is my strategy as well but question....Why are the Wall Street guys (Financial geniuses) selling them off at a record rate? Is it because they are day traders and expected to buy then immediately turn around to sell while generating a profit? Suspect it’s because they are not in the business of playing the long game but not positive

I took some profits and sold my only bag holding early on to have more cash ready for the market correction. Other than that, I'm not selling anything no matter how bad it gets. What am I buying? Adding to or starting new long term holdings buying the four MAGA stocks, Dividend Aristicrat/Growth stocks, and Index ETFs. As tempting as they are, I'm staying away from adding anything new that is directly China, travel, or oil related. I already started buying the other day as I had some limit orders fill at the lows of the day, but only one share each for now buying with every 5% drop of the cost of my last most recent share purchase. Till I run out of free cash or it stops dropping. Too many unknowns to know when it is "time". So that is my plan.

Imo you have a mix of short traders, options owners that had options called and emotional investors approaching retirement......
