Yeah but that’s not split. And hours worth of cutting with a decent saw. Throw it in the truck and deliver.

Seems like a good deal.

I have an old Galvanized Sweeney Feeder going down there with a feedpen this summer (needs timer). He'll help me keep it full. Good guy and he really likes us. Feels bad that theres no quail so he has been feeding a spot for us the past few weeks so we can shoot some hogs this weekend.

Sounds like the kind of guy you want to have around. Don’t think I’d even bring it up. Let’s just say he is light by 25%... Personally, I don’t think $50 worth of wood is worth making things uncomfortable over. Not when he’s helping you out in other ways too up

That's something less than a cord. You were sold a "face" cord or "rick" or whatever BS term they want to give their "cord". If you really care, stack it up neatly. A proper cord is 128 cubic feet regardless of the dimensions. GUTIT is your man for a proper cord of split, quality, seasoned wood. He's probably a bit of a drive for you (assuming the Cedar Creek Lake listed in your profile).

Stack it to find out. My bet is that it is a face cord or close to it. What most people refer to as a cord is really a face cord. 4' tall x 8' long x however long the logs are. I can not ever recall wood sold as a cord actually coming as a full 4x4x8 cord. It is usually just a face cord.

I am assuming that’s a 20 ft container

4x4x8 is a cord

So look at it like that, I think it’s close

Thanks Amigo, sold over 350 cords the past 3 years and just sold some an hour ago. A lot to the THF gang. That pile is a little short, but damn fair for the delivery and good relationships at $200.00.

This^^^^...especially since he had already provided free wood (and probably will again) and he offered to deliver wood for free and you offered to pay...

I'd bet my next paycheck that in the long run you will come out better than even.... 2cents

I would consider that a face cord...not a full cord but considered it was delivered you got your moneys worth. Certainly not worth losing sleep over Can't really tell from the photo but some of it looks green....that would bother me.

From here it looks like a $100-$150 worth of wood and $300 worth in labor, mesquite isn't near as friendly cutting like tame oak.
