AR if that matters to you.

How much land are you considering? That does matter. I have some poop head neighbors who hunt my fence lines. They are high fenced except for 20 acres which border one of my fences, they killed a buck in bow season that scored 141. Guess where he came from? Fifty feet off my fence!!!!

I have part of mine leased. They have shot 5 hogs since Oct.1 and killed one doe. They have not killed a buck that would be legal, 13". They generally kill 2 bucks with 4 of them hunting.

I have seen 2 legal bucks, but passed on them so the lessors would have a chance at them.

Things to consider when buying are electricity, water availability and your neighbors. Expect to pay $4,000 to $5,000/ acre,
Dallas and Houston have an impact.

I hunt on my land in Fairfield we have plenty of buck's and doe's. No monsters to speak of. Even though doe's are legal now we don't shoot them. I have let two legal bucks walk so far. I prefer a spike and let they big guys breed.

Depends on direction from there. Some nice bucks in areas. Buddies place is SW of there and they killed a nice one last week. My stand and feeder are still there from 12 years ago and going strong on google earth! Weird story.
