That would make an awesome rug.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Thank you all for the kind words!
I’m currently looking for a taxidermist to do him justice. Right now I’m looking at double nickel in New Braunfels and Gods Creation in Weatherford.
If y’all have any suggestions feel free to let me know!

Beautiful cat. I kill most I see, but now I’m on the hunt for a nice coat like yours. Hoping to have a rug made with it. Last pretty coat cat I shot was ripped in half and behind the front legs was unusable.

If y’all have any suggestions feel free to let me know! Of those two, Double Nickle is the better option if you want it back in under 2 years. Nice cat, BTW! Beautiful colors.

I shot a great looking cat 2 weeks ago and I wanted to look for a good taxidermy. After looking online a week I found many that did poor work and 3 that did exceptional work. Prices ranged from $700 to $1350. I sent mine to NC and it still wasn't cheap but you have to mail it 2 day mail which cost around $150. What I did find out if you have to ship it UPS has 40% off shipping till 12/31. Take a look at Amys animal arttaxidery in NC. Once I saw her work I was done looking. Locally around Tx $700 was cheapest and 1350 to 1200 with 1-2yr wait is what I found. Its a once in a lifetime deal if the cat looks like yours and the last thing I wanted was a smiling cat for $700-800$$$ Good luck and great trophy.

the last thing I wanted was a smiling cat for $700-800$$$ ^^^^ I got a gray fox back like that one time. 'Smiling Fox mount'....I was so disappointed I can't even describe the feeling. I paid the guy but it was a bitter experience.

Beautiful cat! Definitely the best one I've ever seen. I've let a lot of them walk over the years just because they didn't have markings worthy of a mount. Yours is going to look great.

Nice shots! I've lived in Texas my whole life and have on seen one bobcat...and that bobcat looked like the above images since it was dead in the road with people looking at it. The only live one I saw was running across the road in front of me between Cloudcroft and Ruidoso, NM. I know they're around here in the Canyon Lake area, but again, no viz.
Retired!

Not a bad cat at all. Lots of 'small' markings/spots. The OP's cat has sort of a 'rosette' pattern to it...which really sets it apart. But there are many folks who have never seen a bobcat in the wild, let alone had an opportunity to take one. So...I suppose any Bobcat should be considered a trophy of sorts. Nice ones...guys.

Thank you all for the compliments! I’ll make sure to definitely post the finished product from the taxidermist in the future!
