Was talking snakes with a friend this weekend. He had some friends out hunting on his place and one felt something hit him on the calf, and then almost immediately hit again. Rattlebug was coiled for the third strike when a load of bird shot ended things. Luckily, the hunter was wearing knee high snake boots and no damage. He did report that the snake never rattled.

Be careful out there folks.

Yes glad you are ok.
Been hunting for years and have seen a snake while hunting.
