It would take max PP for a NR, I drew with 1 less than max as a resident.
We have some great areas if you have max PP for a DIY hunt for big rams, over on our side of the state.
We have 2 friends that went unguided in area 5, no horses , and took 2 nice rams, not as big as mine but darn nice. They did have some grizz issues though.

That's a beautiful ram, congrats to him!

I have to say, we were all surprised by his score. I had rough scored him at about 176 before we dropped him off at the taxidermist. He looked him over and put a tape to it then let me know he thought I should get it scored. The official scorer came in and said he thought it would go just under book or around 175ish. Boy were we all surprised. The mass he has made all the difference.
16 3/8" bases and 38 5/8 " on longest side.
This area has some transplants from the Missouri Breaks in Montana, thank you Montana. They brought in some deep curl bloodlines and it paid off.

Found this ram dead beside the highway and we thought from pictures and sightings he was bigger than mine, not so when we picked it up.
