Might break 30.
80 down 40’s up
Itty bitty ears I'm at 83/48 We probably should of asked location, probably a 240 lb KS deer Then we wouldn’t have to worry about our score because he would be wrong too

145. I would be curious about body size. Average weight range for a mature buck in my area of Goliad County....125 to 145 dressed weight on the mature ones I have killed. Largest on my place was a 4 yr old back in 2016 and it weighed 145 lbs.

Why when scoring deer don’t folks convert they’re fractions? If I were to mic a cylinder and said it was 25 2/8” my customers would ask me if I was retarded. I know antlers are measured to the nearest 1/8”. Is that how it’s recorded in the B&C book as 2/8”?

There made be some skull measurements that are nearest 1/16" IIRC.

What’s my variance and what’s the wager Your score you posted is your score guess (130) and will just say a lot of zeros after that first digit and you can pick the first digit.

Not converting is one less thing to worry about I guess. Kinda like you don't hear a 6' tall person say hes 2 yards tall. Not nearly the same thing I don't guess but some things are clearer if left alone.

All scores for deer are scored to the closest 1/8th of an inch....as in 170 1/8", 170 2/8" and so on either gross or net.

And I feel like I'm being setup to feel stupid. You had to time waffle.... Now if you would have said "around" 136.5 you would have covered yourself better...

You guys were dang near on the money. I killed this buck back in mid December of 2015. I did a thread on this buck back then but never posted a score on him. He was 138 4/8" as he was in the photos but had a little busted off of one brow and another inside point broken off completely. That would have put him into the low 140's. He was 16 2/8" IS. One beam was 22 and other was 20.6. His right side was G1 3.0, G2 8.6, G3 9.2 and G4 was 5.7. Left side G1 4.2, G2 8.1 and G3 was 8.1. NT were 4.6 and 1.2. Mass was 3.5, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.2 on right side. Left side mass was 3.4, 3.2, 3.3 and 2.2 I posted this to show how different a buck can look with even a lot of pictures from different angles. If you only judged one beam and doubled it for your score you could be off little over an inch or more either way.
