Just finished mowing. Took me 1.5 hours. It's a way of relaxing for me. Done for the week. Cooler weather forecast for next week. Plan to do some edging and trimming during the cool mornings next week.

How many of you do your own yards?

I used to not mind doing it, but my allergies are too severe when I do. On some occasions it would throw me into an allergy attack for several hours after. I hire it out now.

Been pushing a mower since I was 8 or 9. I won’t pay someone to do something that I can do.

Always. Smallish front yard due to landscaping and the back is mostly taken up by the small pool and the wife's flower and vegetable gardens. About 1 1/2 hours to mow and edge. Ill do my own until I'm physically unable to.

I have 20 pecan trees in my yard. I don't rake the leaves but have a way of mowing them mostly out of sight. You could dove hunt there. The Whitewings come by the dozens. There are also flocks of them on the county road picking up cracked pecans.

I havnt had to mow in over a month since the rain stopped... the yard is nothing but brown lol

I was mowing around once a week during the spring.. takes 4-6 hours depending on how much I mow.. the most adds up around 8-9 acres

I never wrote that I actually needed to relax. The odds are that you will be dead at my age. Look it up.

Nobody is allowed on my lawn. About 3+ hours - mow, edge, trimmer, blow. Have to use plant growth regulator otherwise I have to mow about every three days. 8700 sq ft of sub-1" hybrid Bermuda. Reel mow.

Yep. Mow our properties when needed. Can't see paying someone to do it when I have plenty of time on my hands.

If you would let me drop off a few hogs they will take care of your yard work.

There are a couple of housewives near me who mow their yards. They look determined and beautiful on their zero turn mowers.

I have not owned a lawnmower since I landed up in the wheelchair in 1999.
