Our 6 year old Samsung bit the dust.
Looking at either Bosch or Kitchenaid
Anyone got any recommendations?

I like my Bosch. Quiet and the third rack for silverware is nice.

I went on next door.com
lots of people were bashing the high dollar ones you have listed above.
How often do you do a load, full load?
Do you rinse dished and pots of food BEFORE you load them?
I will follow as mine is 8 years old, its the Whirlpool which came with my house. Works great, quiet BUT, I only run it once or twice a month, I eat off paper plates or out of the pan at home.

I'll never buy anything but Bosch on dishwashers. Super quiet and they actually DRY the dishes.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Our bosch has been pretty flawless; can barely hear it run. I pre-wash most of my dishes b/c I'm OCD; pretty sure the wife just throws hers in half full of food.

We do nearly a full load every day. Wife fixes herself breakfast and we cook dinner usually Sunday - Thursday. It gets used a bunch.

Appliances lol, I usually spend 2 weeks to a month going thru reviews and then finding "the deal", so far it has paid off by % wise. Not all manufactures have good stuff across the board and some models you're quick to see issues from reviews and repair sites.
The dishwasher we bought 2 years ago is a Bosch and has been non stop since day one, 3 level washer and has most of the bells and whistles, some we use and some we don't, ordered online and was around $280 cheaper and with free shipping. Just make sure you fill out the warranty stuff "in case".
BTW, have been seeing good reviews on Bosch dishwashers, but fluctuating reviews on their current fridges and washer dryer sets, so pays to research your expenditure IMO.

Run mine every two weeks or so. Don't remember the brand. Never hear it running from another room.

My dishwasher is 40 years old, and she's usually pretty quiet, unless you put a few glasses of wine in her...

I love my Bosh. We run it about twice a week, dishes tend to be prewashed, because they might sit for a day or two.

Mine is 41 years old, the dishes still come out great. Sometimes she goes on strike though.

Ours is Bosch and like everyone else it’s super quiet. Can’t even tell it’s on till it drains. Our older one was a whirlpool and it was so loud we would have to turn the tv up real loud. Then I finally got smart and just started washing them when we went to bed.

I’ve been unhappy with the top end LG and KitchenAid Gallery (their top end). Have a Bosch now and it’s way better than the 2 previous ones I mentioned.

Great place to hold your dishes. Hate dishes in the sink.

I guess I'll be that one guy. We shopped about 3-4 years ago because ours crapped out. Wife wanted a stainless tub and a third top rack to put wooden spoons, spatulas, etc on/in. That narrowed it down to a Bosch or LG....generally speaking I try to stay away from LG due to previous experiences. We bought the Bosch....the first one didn't dry the dishes so they sent another one out....it was the same way. So we went with the LG and it's been a good dishwasher. It's got way to many buttons and features that I don't know how to use but the wife is an expert on it.
I think it's the first LG product that I can say has been a good one for us.

I have an LG and a Whirlpool and purchased both in the past few years. They are both quiet enough that you can't really hear them when they are running unless you really listen for it. I think the LG may be slightly quieter than the Whirlpool. I considered the Bosch when I bough the other two and couldn't justify the extra $$'s. If I had to pick my favorite, I think I like the LG better because it has the third row for utensils and it also is a little better hiding fingerprints. I got them at Best Buy and they were both around $700.
Thanks, Rich
