My mom was such a good cook it all came out great. Even Brussels sprouts.

We weren't forced to eat anything we didn't like but many a time I was thankful that there was plenty of homemade bread, biscuits or cornbread.
I guess liver and onions was about the most disgusting thing my folks ate. Dad loved that stuff.

Tuna casserole Beef stroganoff Chicken tetrazzini  That's funny. My Mom made all of these and they were awesome. Chicken tetrazini especially. Now I'm hungry.

Sauerkraut & wieners! Makes me gag just thinking about it I love a good fermented Sauerkraut & Smoked Sausage but will use wieners if needed. My wife hates the smell.

Salmon patties. I'd just assume starve. This, and the original, 1st generation "TV Dinners". No way those things weren't bad for you. 'Almost had a radioactive glow with all the artificial coloring.

I remember when the remnants of Hurricane Beulah made it to San Antonio; trees were snapping in our yard, our dog was about to be blown away, all the power went out...and a candle was lit by Mom and I wasn't getting up until I finished those green beans!!  I was 7.

When dad got laid off and mom was trying to stretch a dollar she would buy cheep organ meat.
To this day I can't stand the sight or smell of liver.
She would also cut our milk with powder milk. We called it blue milk. The tighter things got the bluer our milk got.
I still remember the smell and taste of that crap........Hate it!!!!
