In my youth hunting at a hunting camp in the catskills with a lot of cool old men like myself today.

We always had liver and onions from the first camp kill.

They actually cut off the shirt tale of any hunter who shot his first deer.

The poker games lasted till almost dawn on opening weekend

My brother and our sons still cook nearly exclusively on the campfire. Any kind of meat, like steak, wild boar ribs, chili or stew, tenderloins, dove breast, whatever. Potatoes in the coals. We sit around the fire and do breakfast, like chorizo and eggs. We hang our deer in a tree if it's cold enough. I just love to look out the window and have a couple hanging, minus their tenderloins of course. We exclusively walk to the blinds. [Linked Image]

That’s awesome! Seems some people don’t believe this is possible still in our modern world cheers
